After years of wanting a ukulele, I finally purchased one as a graduation gift to myself in January 2011. It was cheap, it was red, it was always sounding sharp even when it was in tune, it was my new best friend. The ukulele was relatively easy to learn, which is why I stuck with it. I began writing songs on it, and after a lot of encouragement from friends, began to post my songs online and perform in public. Crazy enough, people seem to like my stuff! I even have a bit of a following! Not too shabby for just starting out.
I have another blog, but I thought I would start one purely dedicated to music, and specifically, the ukulele. Since I'm still pretty new on the scene, I do a lot of research, so I plan on sharing my findings on here. I'll also post my own personal music updates.
